A collection of music, pictures, movies, and games that have inspired or encouraged me to write. Nothing too serious. It has been a long time since I pulled some of these images from the internet and in most cases I have been unable to find their original sources. If anyone knows of the original work, please comment with any info as I would love to link them directly.
Original Inspiration for Aerodin Trying to get a sense of the Bloat and the orientation of the Pitts The Slow Mutants of Stephen King’s the Dark Tower were the original inspiration for the Pittfiends in the Beggars Journey. Original Inspiration for a Rake, the intelligent and more agile variation of Pittfiend Early idea for a Muck, it’s a bit too agile looking, but the open wounds and misshapen features were close enough This frame from Mad Max: Fury Road eemed to capture the “vibe” of the Pitts, as well as the pittfiends ability to use crude tools. Inspiration for the Kyman. Combination traditionally understood druid (nature magic) and Leshen, Kyman are magically adept creatures of great variety thought to be more myth than reality. They inhabit the wildest most untracked areas of the wild. From Forest to Desert. They vary greatly in appearance, but typically reflect the bio environment they inhabit. This is a bit too humanoid, but the terrifying face is spot on, and a Kyman who consumed a human might come out looking just like this, with the addition of some plant life. A jungle Kyman might have a jaguar skull for a face and be draped in vines and covered in tree bark. While a desert one would be largely composed of roiling sand and Topi plants. They are not intelligent in the accepted sense, nor are they benevolent. They are chaotic neutral. They exist alongside the rest of living world because they can. Kyman consume plant and animal life and use their energy/souls to sustain a corporeal form until that form has been exhausted, then it repeats the process ad infinity. Really captures the atmosphere of the Pitts. The building would be accurate as well, albeit further up the mountain. A pretty accurate depiction of what I imagine a Muck to look like. Trying to map out the Pitts a bit Capturing the chaotic haphazard way in which the the Pitts are constructed. Looking at the atmosphere of the Pitts.
